Splitting PDFs

How to Extract a Single Page From a PDF

You don't need the whole 40-page report — just page 12. Here's the fastest way to pull one page out of a PDF as its own file, without splitting the entire document into pieces you don't need.

When you only need one page

Extracting a single page comes up more often than it seems: pulling your ID page out of a longer scan, grabbing just the signature page of a contract, sending someone one invoice from a batch-scanned folder, or saving a single diagram from a report. Splitting the whole document into every possible piece is overkill when all you actually want is one page, on its own.

The short version: open the Split tool, remove every page except the one you want, and download — you get a single-page PDF, nothing else.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the Split tool and drop in your PDF.
  2. Every page appears as its own preview thumbnail.
  3. Remove every page except the one you want, using the ✕ on each thumbnail you don't need.
  4. Click "Split & Download" — since only one page is left and there are no cut points, you get a single PDF containing just that page.

Need more than one page, but not the whole document?

The same approach works for a handful of pages too — just leave every page you want to keep, and remove the rest. If you leave several pages in with no cuts marked between them, they all come out together as one file, in their original order.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work for extracting a page from a scanned PDF?

Yes — it works on any PDF, whether it contains real text or is a scanned image, since pages are handled as whole units either way.

Will the extracted page keep its original quality?

Yes — the page content itself isn't changed or recompressed, only separated from the rest of the document.

Can I extract pages from the middle and end of a long document at once?

Yes — remove everything except the pages you want, regardless of where they fall in the original file. The pages you keep come out in their original order.

What if I need several separate single-page files, not one combined file?

Instead of removing pages, mark a "Cut after" point on every page — that produces one file per page, all packaged together in a .zip when you download.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No — everything happens locally in your browser. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
